ART & LSP | Photographer Valentin Messager aka Movsaeky
young French photographer Valentin Messager (facebook) - “I use photography to convey an emotion, a message that I can not communicate with the illustration and painting or other ways that I use. For this photo series in connection with the galaxy, I wanted to represent God in its original state, as the creator of the solar system, and life in general.”
ART & LSP | BURNING MAN by Ian Brewer Photography
Photographer Ian Brewer - Born in London and raised in the south of Spain, Ian Brewer studied Art at the University of Granada. It was travel photography that first caught his imagination on a one year trip through Greece and Turkey but it wasn’t until 2005, after 5 years in graphic design that another long trip, this time through South East Asia and India re-ignited that original flame. Since then Ian shoots regularly and his work has been featured in a number of magazines, album covers, books and advertising campaigns.
Burning Man, an annual art, music and everything-else festival held in the middle of the Nevada desert. Once a year, tens of thousands of participants gather in Nevada’s Black Rock Desert to create Black Rock City, dedicated to community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance.
ART & LSP | UNDERWATER DAYDREAMS - PHOTOGRAPHER SARAH LEE
From Kona on the Big Island of Hawai’i, I am incessantly glued to camera viewfinders, dafins, and the sea. My aim in making photos is to capture and accentuate the beauty in what surrounds me. Photography to me is a mode of visual problem solving and a way to perpetuate the stoke, whether it be above the surface or below. - Sarah Lee [See More]
ART & LSP | WORLD TRIP - PHOTOGRAPHER THOMAS HOLE
Thomas from a small town in the southwest of England.
“I am a self taught photographer, with a huge travelling addiction! I used to be a sponsored skater and through this gained the opportunity to meet many photographers when I was younger, thus sparking an interest in photography.
Before I knew it I had a camera in my hand and what initially began as a hobby soon turned into an obsession. I enjoy every aspect of photography. These photos were taken on my resent around the world trip.
I began the trip carrying around a copious amount of heavy gear, I soon realised that it wasn’t the best decision, no matter what the intention was. I ended up trading in my original ‘travelling’ camera for the small fuji X100, this camera only had one fixed focal length however it was so much fun to use that it didn’t matter and I truly believe it made me look at my surrounding with a completely different view.”
ART & LSP | PHOTOGRAPHER THOMAS HAWK
Thomas Hawk - Sometimes I like to think of myself as a photography factory. I see my photographs mostly as raw material for projects that might be worked on at some point later on in life.
The absurdity of my obsessive compulsive view on photography is not lost on me. But it is the absurdity of life that I find most beautiful of all. Where Sisyphus had his stone I have my camera and a bag full of lenses.
Document, explore, lather, rinse, repeat. Photography for me then becomes a kind of hyperactivity, loosely arranged and presented. My work is less about individual images and instead more about the power of a massive amount of excessive and disjointed images where stories, characters and places sometimes stay and other times reappear or disappear entirely for no good reason at all.
I decided to start a new interesting project “Art & LSP - Art & LifeStyle Photography” which will feature several photoworks of authors together with their own comments on their life and featured work. I want artists to share their view on what gets the contemporary photography going, which is beautiful in its both professional and amateur sense, is simply part of our lives and represent the moments that will make the history, moments of reality that we see and perceive as art and share with the world though photography. I believe this project will be easily accessible and simple for everyone, it will let professional and amateur photographers to reach the public and share their newest and unpublished work. I want to note that each professional photographer started out as an amateur in the beginning. That is why none of them should feel shy to publish their new work. All features and publications will be published on this blog Devid Sketchbook. You can also send works connected to art, craft, installation, illustration, etc. You can easily assess the style of blog once you have looked through it. In order to be featured in this project you should send us e-mail ( art.lsp@aol.com ) containing:
Good luck!
