I never imagine that the people of the world will love my illustrations. It’s amazing the thousands of messages and fanarts I receive. “Create every day. No matter your skills.”

THREE DIMENSIONAL COLLAGES BY PAOLA BAZZ

United Kingdom, Manchester-based artist Paola Bazz (Behance) - "Three-dimensional collages created using different recycled material such as printed-paper, cardboard and wood. Paper is recycled from magazines, newspapers and catalogs. The paper, used as a raw material, has been selected according to thickness, color and the three-dimensional and typographic effect. It has been cut into strips and then folded in small or large "concertina" with a squared base. All the "concertina" have been placed within a rigid grid, creating complex collages, and glued to a cardboard base."

EPIPHYTE CHAMBER BY PHILIP BEESLEY ARCHITECT

Philip Beesley ArchitectEpiphyte Chamber is envisioned as an archipelago of interconnected halo-like masses that mimic human sensations through subtle, coordinated movements. Across each floating island, densely interwoven structures and delicate canopies made of thousands of lightweight digitally-fabricated components are drawn together in nearly-synchronized breathing and whispers. Audiences walk into highly sensual, intimate sculptural spaces that support small clusters of activity interlinking into larger gathering areas. This experimental new work explores intersections between media art, interactive distributed mechatronics and synthetic biology.

Epiphyte Chamber is part of the inaugural Aleph Exhibition at the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in Seoul, Korea. The Aleph Exhibition opens the gate for creativity and magnifies the minute. The contents of the exhibit illustrate the various complexifying effects that exist anywhere from microorganism to galaxies as can be found through observing stars in the sky or observing symbiotic relationships among objects. The exhibition illustrates how a minute change can lead to drastic variations in the future.

The work is currently on display through March 16, 2014.

inFORM

An Interactive Dynamic Shape Display that Physically Renders 3D Content

Five engineers from the Tangible Media Group at MIT’s media lab have developed ‘inFORM’, a dynamic shape display that has the capability to render three-dimensional content physically, so users can interact with tangible digital information.

inFORM is a Dynamic Shape Display that can render 3D content physically, so users can interact with digital information in a tangible way. inFORM can also interact with the physical world around it, for example moving objects on the table’s surface. Remote participants in a video conference can be displayed physically, allowing for a strong sense of presence and the ability to interact physically at a distance.
