HORST P. HORST

“Horst tamed the avant-garde to serve fashion,” the New York Times once wrote of Horst P. Horst, the master of fashion photography whose black-and-white prints immortalized 20th century high society. - In the history of twentieth-century fashion and portrait photography, Horst’s contribution figures as one of the most artistically significant and long lasting, spanning as it did the sixty years between 1931 and 1991. During this period, his name became legendary as a one-word photographic byline, and his photographs came to be seen as synonymous with the creation of images of elegance, style and rarefied glamour.

Bloom Skin – a gorgeous wind installation for Issey Miyake

For the Spring/Summer 2012 collection of ELTTOB TEP (previously) – Issey Miyake’s more innovative retail project – visual design studio WOW created an installation of 8 computer controlled fans and a single piece of fabric. Called ‘organdie,’ the ultra-light fabric, which is also used throughout the collection, creates gentle wave-like motions as it dances in the show window. Calming and gorgeous!
